A former Soviet nuclear weapons store from the 1960s, guided visits.
The Cold War Museum Podborsko 3001 is housed in shelter no. 17, a former atomic ammunition store of the Soviet forces in the forests near Podborsko (Tychowo municipality, Białogard County). A branch of the Museum of Polish Arms in Kołobrzeg opened it to visitors in September 2016.
Site 3001 was created after the agreement between the USSR and the PRL of February 1967 on three bases-stores of nuclear weapons in Poland. It covered over 300 ha, and the garrison numbered about 150 Soviet soldiers. The shelters were prepared for 160 warheads. The last warheads were most probably withdrawn in 1988, and the soldiers left in the autumn of 1992.
The interior has survived in an almost untouched state: installations for the crew, storage rooms and a transfer hall with working equipment for moving the trolleys with warheads.
