The ruin of a Neo-Gothic palace in Karkowo near Chociwel, entered in the heritage register, with a park with old trees.
Karkowo Palace is the ruin of a Neo-Gothic residence in a village in Chociwel municipality, in Stargard County. The site is entered in the heritage register, and a park with old trees has survived around it.
The heritage register dates the palace to the mid-18th century and describes it as brick, in the Neo-Gothic style. The Encyclopedia of West Pomerania gives the year 1900. The building stood on a rectangular plan, with projections at the corners of the façade, a tall octagonal tower and two entrances with porticos. Next to it lies a park from the second half of the 18th century covering 7.5 ha, with a family cemetery, ponds and old trees: a pedunculate oak, a copper beech and a hornbeam.
