A Neoclassical two-winged palace (manor house) from the mid-19th century in Stradzewo, in a park with horse chestnuts, limes and oaks; private property.
Stradzewo Palace, also called a manor house, is a Neoclassical two-winged building from the mid-19th century, standing about 6 km north of Choszczno. It is private property, so it is viewed from outside.
Around 1850 Georg Friedrich von Germar built a new manor house in the village and some of the farm buildings. The park with access avenues dates from the mid-19th century; horse chestnuts, limes, oaks and maples predominate, some of them 100 to 150 years old.
The complex was entered in the heritage register in 1979. Besides the palace and park it includes a former stable and a dovecote from the 19th century in the form of a small tower surrounded by a low octagon. The register describes the manor house as brick, in the Neoclassical style.
In the village stands the Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa, founded in 1876 by Gustav Hermann von Germar.
About 4 km further on, in Pomień, is the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
