Neo-Gothic palace of the von Kleist family in Dobrowo, a school after the war, today privately owned.
The palace in Dobrowo is a Neo-Gothic building on a small rise at the edge of the village, in Tychowo municipality. It was the family residence of the von Kleists, and after the war it served, among other things, as a primary school.
The palace was built in the mid-19th century, most probably on 16th-century foundations. It belonged to the von Kleist family, who owned what is now Dobrowo. The heritage register describes it as a brick building in the Neo-Gothic style.
After the Second World War the palace was given to the state farm in Dobrowo. It housed offices and a community room for residents, and after renovation a primary school, which operated in 1965-2000. In 2000 Tychowo municipality sold the building to a private person.
In the risalit topped with a stepped gable, between the windows of the second floor above the balcony, there is a cartouche with the von Kleist coat of arms. According to the entry on the palace, a network of underground passages runs beneath the park, and their entrances are hidden in the nearby forest.
