The Neo-Gothic palace of the Brockhausen family in Karwice with a park; in 1994 the Drawsko dinner was held there.
Karwice Palace is a Neo-Gothic residence of the Brockhausen family in Drawsko Pomorskie municipality, with a park and an access avenue. Wikipedia dates it to the second half of the 18th century with rebuilding in the early 19th century, and the heritage register to 1865-1866.
The two-storey building has a low roof and a central screen wall at the front, and the outer projecting bays are closed by screen walls in the form of crenellation with thick pinnacles. An octagonal turret adjoins the left projecting bay, and a four-storey tower the right one. The interiors have partly preserved joinery, and replicas of historic weapons hang on the walls.
On 30 September 1994 the palace was the venue of a meeting known as the Drawsko dinner, connected with the dispute over the dismissal of the Minister of National Defence Piotr Kołodziejczyk. According to the Wikipedia entry on the village, a Military Training and Recreation Centre is housed here. A few kilometres further on lies Lake Lubie.
