Brick villa of 1900-1902 in Szczecin Pogodno, entered in the heritage register in 2014, built for a teacher and historian.
The villa at Ludwika Solskiego 4 is an eclectic brick villa in Szczecin's Pogodno district, entered in the heritage register in 2014. It refers to the Swiss style and to northern neo-Renaissance.
The first owner was the teacher and historian Dr Paul Jacob van Niessen, who applied for a building permit on 2 July 1900. In 1918 the villa was taken over by the Szczecin merchant Ottmar Theodor Erick Brunn, who carried out renovation work. From 1918 to 1945 the building was not renovated, so it survived in unaltered form. After the Second World War the municipality took it over and two families lived in it, and a dental surgery briefly operated on the ground floor.
The volume of the building is about 2000 m³, the usable floor area 175.5 m² plus 15 m² of veranda. The street was formerly called Margarethenstrasse and Eichendorffweg.
