A private display of German V-3 weapons in a bunker of a former testing ground in Zalesie on Wolin Island.
The V3 Bunker is a private mini weapons museum in Zalesie near Międzyzdroje, on Wolin Island. The display is housed in a bunker in which V-3 missiles were stored, on a former secret German experimental testing ground. According to the museum's website it has operated since 2004.
Inside, military technology from the Second World War is shown, including the German V-3 weapon, a multi-chamber gun 130 metres long. In the area around the bunker, remains of the firing positions of these guns have survived. The museum offers guided tours with historical commentary and history lessons for groups. Next door is a tourist information point of Wolin National Park.
This is a place connected with the history of the war, not ordinary entertainment. The remains of the firing positions are also described under the V3 Launch Sites, located only 100 metres away. From Zalesie to the Baltic Miniature Park it is about 1.7 km.
