Town hall on Kościuszko Square, set up in 1725 in the former market halls, with a Renaissance portal from its predecessor and a fountain of 1919.
Darłowo Town Hall stands on Plac Tadeusza Kościuszki and is the seat of the town authorities. It is housed in former market halls, which in 1725 were raised by one storey and given a Baroque appearance. Right next to it stands St Mary's Church.
The former market halls serve as the town hall, rebuilt in 1725 by adding a storey. The previous town hall burned down in 1722, and its role was taken over by the former halls.
Above the main entrance a stone Renaissance portal from the burned town hall has survived. The building is of brick and entered in the heritage register (no. 92 of 1955, new entry A-739 of 2010). The register describes its style as Neoclassical, and Wikipedia as Baroque.
In front of the town hall stands a fountain of 1919 with a statue of a fisherman. Reliefs are also placed on the fountain. From the square it is close to the Hemptenmacher House and to the Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes.
