A single-storey manor house from 1931 by Lake Piaski, the former seat of the von Flemming family and a hotel until 2009, now derelict.
The manor house in Piaski Wielkie stands right by Lake Piaski, surrounded by a historic park. It is a single-storey building from 1931, built for the von Flemming family, who had owned the local estate since the 15th century. Today the manor house is derelict, so it is viewed mainly from outside and from the road.
The Piaski estate passed to the Flemmings in the 15th century, by purchase from the von Wükernitz family. The first manor house, known now only from drawings, dated from 1763. The next one, built in 1909 on the same spot, burned down in 1926. The present building was built five years later. It is styleless, of brick, built on a rectangular plan, with a cellar, a gable roof and a usable attic. The first owner of this manor house was Richard von Flemming, and the last owner of the estate was Richard von Flemming-Paatzig.
A terraced park was laid out by the manor house, descending towards the lake. From 1920 the Flemmings ran a market garden here: greenhouses were built, together with an irrigation system that used water from Lake Piaski.
After the war the building housed offices and flats, later a holiday centre and a training centre of the provincial board of State Agricultural Farms in Szczecin. A thorough renovation was carried out in 1981. From the 1990s until 2009 a hotel operated here. Since then the manor house has been looted and has fallen into ruin. A fireplace with the von Flemming family coat of arms has survived inside.
