A museum with multimedia rooms about the history of Trzęsacz, legends, the abrasion of the cliff and the collapse of the church.
The Multimedia Museum on the Cliff in Trzęsacz tells the story of the village, the cliff and the ruins of the Church of St Nicholas. It stands on Klifowa Street, about 50 metres from the ruins. On its own website it appears as the Trzęsacz Multimedia Museum, and its main exhibition is called “The Secret of the Baltic”.
The exhibition is divided into rooms, each presenting a different theme: the history of Trzęsacz, legends, the process of abrasion, the significance of the 15th meridian, time zones and the life of the inhabitants 600 years ago. The interiors are filled with projections, animations and sound, as well as models, postcards and authentic fragments of the monument, such as a door handle and wooden ceiling beams. One room shows the last moments of the church on the cliff. A separate audio trail has been prepared for children, and a German-language version for visitors from abroad.
The museum was founded in 2000 and reopened after modernisation in May 2014. A visit is best combined with seeing the ruins of the church in Trzęsacz.
