Museum of 2010 in the attic of the former Royal Court of 1905, with postcards, seals, a chronicle and mementos of the oil eruption of 1980.
The Karlino Land Museum is located in the attic, on the third floor, of the former Royal Court in Karlino, of 1905. It was founded in 2010, and historical mementos had been collected earlier within the Karlino Treasury (Karlińska Skarbnica). It is a municipal institution that tells the history of the town in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The former court today also houses, among others, the seat of the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Parsęta Basin, a police station, the municipal guard and a tourist information point. Before the museum opened, the rooms were renovated within the Regional Operational Programme of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The permanent exhibition shows old views of the town and postcards, seals and a chronicle written by Reinhold Wedig, a pre-war teacher and archivist. Among the post-war collections, attention is drawn to the equipment of a former pharmacy of the 1950s and 1960s and mementos connected with the oil eruption of 1980.
Nearby stands the Church of St Michael the Archangel, and a little further on the Castle of the Bishops of Kamień.
