Niemieńsko Hunting Lodge

22, Niemieńsko
About Niemieńsko Hunting Lodge

A brick Neo-Renaissance hunting lodge from 1922-1930, formerly owned by the von Arnim family, now the seat of a school and education centre.

Niemieńsko Hunting Lodge was built in 1922-1930 as part of a palace complex together with a forest park. The brick building was kept in the Neo-Renaissance style, and it has been in the heritage register since 2004 (no. A-177). Niemieńsko lies on the Słopica River, about 8 km south-east of Drawno, in Drawno municipality.

History and present use

In 1864-1945 the estate belonged to the von Arnim family. Today the palace houses the Special School and Education Centre, so the building is best viewed from outside, and the rules for entering are set by the institution. The hamlet also has an old oak, listed in the entry on the locality among its historic sites.
