A Baroque palace of the von Köller family from the early 18th century in Łoźnica, rebuilt in 1804, today in poor condition.
The palace in Łoźnica, a village in Przybiernów municipality, is a Baroque seat of the von Köller family from the early 18th century, listed in the heritage register. Until 1945 the village was called Kantreck. The building is in poor condition, and the register description says it is viewed only from the outside.
From the Middle Ages the estate belonged to the Pomeranian von Köller family, who in 1695-1697 funded the village church. The palace was built probably in the first quarter of the 18th century, and its age is confirmed by a map of the village from 1731. In 1804 the estate was bought by Ulrich von Dewitz, who rebuilt the palace, and in 1837 it was bought back by Ernst Matthias von Köller, later chairman of the Pomeranian provincial diet. Also born in Łoźnica was his namesake Ernst Matthias von Köller (1841-1928), a Prussian politician and in 1894-1895 minister of the interior. After the war the estate was taken over as a State Agricultural Farm (PGR), and the palace housed flats, offices, a club and a store.
The complex was planned on an axial and symmetrical layout, of the type of a French residence "between courtyard and garden": in front of the palace a farm courtyard with a driveway, behind it a landscape park laid out on the site of a Baroque garden. The building is two-storeyed, of brick and plastered, with a mansard roof with hips and shallow projections in the middle of both longer elevations. The facade has eleven bays, and the corners are marked by rusticated lesenes. It is a form of classicising Baroque, close to the palaces in Siemczyno and Stolec.
