The building and the park

According to the description of the village's monuments, the palace is of no particular style, but large. It is surrounded by a palace park of 5.35 ha, laid out in the first half of the 19th century between the steep southern slope of Niwka Hill, the Liśnica River and the village buildings. Native species dominate the trees, and there are also copper beeches, Douglas firs and Norway spruces. A natural monument is a heavily damaged European ash with a girth of 607 cm, and in front of the palace lies a flower bed planted with privet.

The village is one of the oldest in the county, mentioned in 1489, and the knightly estate belonged from the 18th to the 19th century to the von Kleist family. A walking and cycling tourist trail, the Eastern Trail around Białogard, leads through the village. In the village stands the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Żytelkowo.
