A Gothic house from the 15th century in the Old Town of Kołobrzeg, the oldest surviving in the town, today part of the Museum of Polish Arms.
The Schliffen House, also called the Schliffen townhouse, is a Gothic residential building in the Old Town of Kołobrzeg. According to Wikipedia it is the oldest surviving house in the town. It was built in the 15th century and rebuilt in the 16th and 19th centuries. The heritage register gives a date of the 14th-16th century and describes the building as brick and Gothic.
It probably belonged to the wealthy burgher family of the Schliffens. In the interwar period the Joachim Nettelbeck museum was set up in it. In 1945 the building was destroyed and after the war it was reconstructed. Since 1963 it has been part of the Museum of Polish Arms, and inside it there are exhibition rooms.
