An interactive science centre in a renovated townhouse in Stargard: the history of the town, over 55 exhibits and technologies.
The Stargard Filary Science Centre is located in a renovated townhouse at Chrobrego 21 in Stargard. It is an interactive exhibition in which the history of the town, science and new technologies are shown on successive floors of the building. The revitalisation of the building was co-financed by the European Union from the regional operational programme for 2014-2020.
According to the centre's website, the exhibition rests on three pillars. The historical part tells the story of Stargard from the Middle Ages in the form of an interactive narrative. The science part consists of over 55 interactive exhibits at which visitors check for themselves how the laws of physics work. On the top floor technologies are shown, from artificial intelligence to 3D printing.
The centre also runs workshops for schools, nurseries, adults and birthday groups, as well as special events. At the exit there is a shop with souvenirs and board games.
Individual entries take place every hour, and going through all the levels takes on average about two hours. The building has a lift and adapted toilets. It is not far from the Old Town: the Mill Gate is 200 metres away, and the collegiate church 500 metres.
