A brick town hall from the 1920s on Rynek Bursztynowy, whose form echoes the town's old half-timbered buildings, today the seat of the municipal office.
The town hall in Pełczyce stands at Rynek Bursztynowy 2 and is today the seat of the town and municipality office. The building was erected in the 1920s, and the heritage register gives the date 1920. It is of brick and forms a small block by the square.
The architecture echoes the town's old half-timbered buildings. The block consists of two adjoining cuboids under a gable roof. Above the front entrance is the coat of arms of Pełczyce, with a bear leaning against an oak. The lower part of the walls is rusticated, a stone plinth surrounds the building, and a simple cornice runs under the roof.
After the Second World War the militia was housed here. In 1980 the second floor of the town hall was joined to the second floor of the neighbouring post office building. The town hall is entered in the heritage register, and the building is today a working office, so it is viewed from the outside.
Rynek Bursztynowy is a good starting point for a walk around Pełczyce: a few dozen metres away is the Historical Room in Pełczyce.
