Museum in a century-old filter station in Koszalin with plans of the water supply network, a piece of pipe from 1726 and hydrants.
The Water Museum is located on Żwirowa Street in Koszalin, in a former filter station more than a hundred years old. The exhibition tells of the almost 300-year history of the town's waterworks.
Until 1996 pressure filters stood on this site. They were removed when in 1997 a modernised water treatment station on Żwirowa Street was put into service. In 2005 it was decided to turn the empty building into a museum; from the idea to its realisation a few months passed, and the building was thoroughly renovated.
The exhibition includes old plans and maps of the water and sewerage network, a piece of water pipe from 1726, hydrants and equipment from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
