A municipal museum in a townhouse known as the Yellow Cottage, with an exhibition on the history of Goleniów and the region.
The Documentation Centre for the History of the Goleniów Land is a municipal museum institution, opened in 2008. It is housed in a burgher's townhouse from the second half of the 19th century, known as the “Yellow Cottage” (Żółty Domek), at Pocztowa 2.
The historical exhibition tells the story of the town and the region, from the time before the founding of Goleniów in 1268 to the settlement campaign after the Second World War. You will see a reconstructed burgher's parlour from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as old everyday objects and farm tools.
The centre stands in the centre of the town, not far from the Wolin Gate and St Catherine's Church. It is an institution in its own right, not part of these sites.
