About Manor House in Czernice

Manor house of 1913 with two towers, neo-Gothic in appearance, a former children's home, entered in the heritage register.

The manor house in Czernice, a village in Pyrzyce municipality, was built in 1913 of brick with stone details. From the front it has a single storey with a dormer, and on the garden side it has two storeys and two towers: a lower, cylindrical one and a taller, square one, both topped with spires. With its mansard roof and small projecting bays, the whole resembles a neo-Gothic small castle; the heritage register describes the style as eclectic.

According to data from 1892, the local estate belonged to Heinrich Haak. Wikipedia says that it was probably he who began building the manor house. The manor later housed a children's home, and today, according to Wikipedia, the building is not in use. It was entered in the heritage register in 2003.

On a rise north of the settlement there is a cemetery with the tomb of the Haack family. The area also includes the Palace in Koszewo and the Brodogóry Nature Reserve.
