About Museum in the Granary in Drawno

A museum on the second floor of a historic granary in Drawno, with an exhibition on the history of the town and its surroundings.

The Museum in the Granary, also known as the Gallery of Mementoes of the Drawno Land, operates in Drawno as part of the “Spichlerz” Tourist Information Centre. It occupies the second floor of a former granary from the second half of the 19th century.

Collections

The museum was created after the revitalisation of the granary in 2006-2007. The exhibition is devoted to the history of Drawno and its surroundings. The collections include old photographs and postcards, 19th-century merchants' letters, everyday household equipment, farm tools, militaria and medieval ceramics.

What to expect

It is a small local display in which the collections are arranged around the life of the people of Drawno: from merchants' correspondence to household equipment and tools from farms. A visit is easily combined with a stop at the tourist information centre on the lower floors of the granary.

Nearby

The granary stands in the centre of the town, next to the castle in Drawno. Not far away is also the Jewish cemetery.
