Churches and monasteries in Drawsko Pomorskie: the late Gothic Resurrection church, St Paul's church and a former Baptist church.

Drawsko's three places of worship share little beyond the town: a Gothic hall church with dragons on its portals, a neo-Romanesque church converted from a stable and a brick prayer house of 1927. For architecture fans it is a surprisingly varied set.

Which church in Drawsko Pomorskie is the oldest?

Kościół Zmartwychwstania Pańskiego w Drawsku Pomorskim (Church of the Resurrection of the Lord) at Kilińskiego 2 is a late Gothic hall church. It was built from the mid-14th century until the mid-15th century, when the tower was raised. Brick dragons and mermaids appear on the portals, and a Baroque altar stands inside. Fires damaged the church several times, but it kept its late Gothic character.

Kościół Świętego Pawła w Drawsku Pomorskim (Church of St Paul) stands on Dworcowa Street. It was built in 1928-1929 in the neo-Romanesque style by converting a former stable. It was the first Catholic church after the Reformation in what was then Dramburg, and the builder was Father Gerhard Kunze of Berlin.

Dawny kościół baptystyczny w Drawsku Pomorskim (Former Baptist Church) at Boczna 1 was built in 1927 for the Baptist congregation, which used it until 1945. It is a two-block building with a projection topped by a pediment, built of brick and plastered. After the war it was a warehouse, and it is now the seat of an association.
