Things to do in Połczyn-Zdrój: a Baroque palace on a castle site, the Dolina Pięciu Jezior reserve with the Drawa springs, and a neo-Gothic church.

Połczyn-Zdrój is a spa town where historic buildings stand near the promenade and a reserve lies a few kilometres from town. The four places in the set combine buildings, nature and a memorial site.

What can you see in Połczyn-Zdrój itself?

The palace in Połczyn-Zdrój stands on a hill about 100 metres from Plac Wolności, at Zamkowa 7, on the site of a castle from the end of the thirteenth century. It houses a library, a gallery and an exhibition of old postcards. In the centre, beside the main promenade, at Mariacka 4 stands the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, neo-Gothic, with a history reaching back to the fourteenth century and a cast-iron tomb slab of Erasmus von Manteuffel from 1544. The spa roots of the town are described in the article on the springs and the spa park.

Where can you reach nature near Połczyn-Zdrój?

The Dolina Pięciu Jezior reserve covers 228.78 ha, about 7 km south-east of town. It holds the springs of the Drawa and a chain of five lakes in a glacial trough, and entry is free. A separate, factual stop is the Jewish cemetery from the eighteenth century by the road to Świdwin, about 1.5 km north of town, with fragments of gravestones and an information board.
