Things to do in Resko: the ruined Borck castle, a Marian sanctuary in a late Gothic church and a neoclassical town hall with a chiming clock tower.

Resko lies on the river Rega. The castle, church and town hall make three stops for a short walk through town, with the history of Pomeranian noble families in the background.

What to see in Resko in the town centre

In the centre of Resko stand the town hall on the market square and the sanctuary, so both are easy to see one after the other.

Ratusz w Resku (Town Hall in Resko) stands at Rynek 1 and still serves as an office, housing the Town and Municipality Office. The neoclassical brick building was raised in 1830-1841. It has a small tower with a clock and a carillon.

Sanktuarium Matki Bożej Niepokalanej w Resku (Sanctuary of Our Lady Immaculate) is housed in a late Gothic parish church from around 1400, at ulica Bohaterów Monte Cassino 12. The Marian sanctuary was established here on 25 March 1993, and inside is a painting from the 18th century.

What remains of the Borck castle in Resko?

Zamek Borcków w Resku (Borck Castle) is a ruin from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, with remnants of a stone wall on a small rise. It began as a timber-and-earth stronghold of the knightly Borck family, and the masonry castle was probably raised in the second half of the 14th century.
