Historic sites in Białogard: the Old Town Hall of 1827, the New Town Hall from the 1920s and castle remains above the Parsęta river.

Two town halls on one square and cellar walls of a castle on a hill above the river. The three historic sites of Białogard show how the town changed its seat of power and what is left of the medieval stronghold.

Which monuments does Białogard offer?

Stary Ratusz w Białogardzie (Old Town Hall) stands at Plac Wolności 5. A former merchant house in the neoclassical style, dated 1827, gained a wooden clock tower in 1847. Today it holds a museum and the Wedding Palace.

Nowy ratusz w Białogardzie (New Town Hall) at Plac Wolności 16-17 is a brick building from the 1920s in German Renaissance forms. It was built as the seat of the town authorities and the municipal savings bank, and entered the register of monuments in 1991. The earlier, medieval town hall stood in the middle of the market square and was demolished in 1847.

Relikty zamku w Białogardzie (castle remains) are cellar walls with niches, all that survives of the castle of 1315 built by Duke Warcisław IV. The castle stood on a hill above the Parsęta, burned in 1526, while the building itself vanished during the 1900s.
