What monuments are there in Nowe Miasto, Szczecin?

Pomnik Kornela Ujejskiego w Szczecinie (Kornel Ujejski Monument) is a bronze bust of the poet on a square between the Port Gate and Zwycięstwa square. It was made by the Lviv sculptor Antoni Popiel, and the monument travelled from Lviv to Szczecin over more than half a century. The plinth carries a lyre with broken shackles, a torch and a laurel sprig.

The anthropologist and ethnographer sits on a travelling trunk, dressed as an Africa explorer of the later 19th century.
