Which lighthouse in Świnoujście can you visit?

Latarnia morska Świnoujście (Świnoujście Lighthouse) is a brick tower from 1857 in the Warszów district, on Bunkrowa Street, open to visitors. Wikipedia calls it the tallest on the Polish Baltic shore and the world's tallest brick lighthouse. It has 308 steps, the tower is 67.7 m tall and the light stands 65 m above sea level. The first lighthouse here appeared in 1805 on the head of the breakwater.

What is the Młyny beacon and what is it for?

Stawa Młyny is a white navigation mark, ten metres high, looking like a small windmill under a black roof, on the tip of the West Breakwater where the Świna meets the Baltic. It dates to 1873-1874 and is one of the symbols of the town, part of its logo. Together with the Galeriowa beacon, 522 m away, it marks the line of the fairway.

Kanał Piastowski (Piast Canal) was cut in 1874-1880 across Uznam island, from the Świna to the Szczecin Lagoon. It is part of the Świnoujście-Szczecin fairway, has steep banks almost bare of vegetation, and cut the island of Karsibór off from the rest of Uznam.

Crossings between the islands are described in the article Tunel pod Świną i przeprawy między wyspami, and the resort in Weekend na wyspach: Świnoujście, Wolin i Międzyzdroje. Next to the lighthouse, see Zabytki: Świnoujście. The town as a whole is onŚwinoujście, and lighthouses of the region in Latarnie i porty.
