Things to do in Warszewo: a neo-Gothic church with stained glass, the Wodozbiór nature area with Wysoki Staw and a green trail through Las Arkoński.

Warszewo lies on the northern edge of Szczecin, beside the Wkrzańska Forest and the Warszewskie Hills. Apart from the church it is mainly a place for forest walks, and walkers will find the article on Las Arkoński, Warszewo and Arkonka useful.

What to see and where to walk in Warszewo?

Warszewo has one historic church and two green areas: a protected nature area and a long walking trail.

Kościół św. Antoniego z Padwy w Szczecinie (St Anthony of Padua's Church) on ulica Szczecińska is a neo-Gothic church of red brick from 1874, built on the site of a medieval church. The tower turns into an octagon, and inside are stained-glass windows by Wiktor Ostrzołek. Zespół przyrodniczo-krajobrazowy „Wodozbiór” (the Wodozbiór nature and landscape complex) covers 63.39 hectares on the border of Warszewo and Bukowo. Here you will find Wysoki Staw (High Pond) and the sources of the Gręziniec and Sienniczka streams. For a longer outing there is Szlak Przez Las Arkoński i Wzgórza Warszewskie: a green walking trail of about 13.8 kilometres linking Las Arkoński, the Warszewskie Hills and the Wkrzańska Forest.

A place of remembrance in the Wkrzańska Forest

Pomnik Poległych w I Wojnie Światowej Sportowców w Szczecinie (Memorial to Sportsmen Fallen in the First World War) stands in the forest on ulica Podbórzańska. It is made of two halves of a split boulder. It commemorates seven members of a German gymnastics society who died in the First World War.
