Which museum in Stargard should you start with for the town's history?

Muzeum Archeologiczno-Historyczne w Stargardzie Szczecińskim (Archaeological and Historical Museum) is a town cultural institution at Rynek Staromiejski 2-4, housed in Baroque townhouses and a former guardhouse. A branch is in the Basteja by the Weavers' Tower. The museum also manages the Pyrzyce Gate and the Morze Czerwone tower. The present museum opened in 1960 in the Pyrzyce Gate.

Muzeum Basteja (Basteja Museum) is a rebuilt 16th-century bastion, the only fully preserved one of three such structures in the town and unique in Pomerania. It holds a multimedia exhibition about the history of Stargard. The bastion was destroyed in 1945 and later rebuilt.
