Viewpoints in Szczecin: the Bismarck Tower in Gocław, Café 22 on the 22nd floor and the view from Stołczyn. Three places for couples.
The list gathers three places from which Szczecin can be seen from above: a viewing tower, a café in an office block and a spot on a hillside. All carry the tags "For couples", "Beautiful views" and "Solo". They lie in different parts of the city, so they are easy to visit separately. More views along trails are in the overview of parks and nature in Szczecin.
Where can you see Szczecin best from above?
The highest is Café 22, on the 22nd floor of an office block at Rodła Square 8, and the most outdoorsy are Górska Street and Zielone Wzgórze. Each place shows a different side of the city.
Wieża Bismarcka w Szczecinie (Bismarck Tower), today called the Gocław Tower, stands at Narciarska 5a on Zielone Wzgórze (Green Hill). The concrete structure is 26 metres tall and has a terrace for looking out over the area. It opened on 10 August 1921. The description of the site mentions renovation that kept it closed to visitors, so check its availability before you go. Café 22 is a café with a panorama of the whole of Szczecin, a dessert menu and a bar, in one of the tallest buildings in the city.
Punkt widokowy przy ul. Górskiej (Viewpoint on Górska Street) is found in Stołczyn, right at the rim of the Warszewo Hills. From here you see the Oder valley and Lake Dąbie. These moraine hills form part of the Szczecin Hills, and much of them is covered by the Wkrzańska Forest. The nature of the Oder valley is described in the article Lower Oder Valley Landscape Park and Międzyodrze: nature, and a general overview of the city's historic sites is on the page historic sites in Szczecin.
